Installation of the dispenser assembly is an important step. Its not difficult, but its worthwhile taking the time to do it properly and make sure all components are securely fastened. It's for your own safety!

Once the rmv is installed in your chosen location, begin to route the clear dispenser tubing down towards the swinging arm. Photographs on the left of this page show some typical tube routing approaches. Take care not to crush or puncture the delivery tubing at this time.

3_C_DISPENSER_wee.gif   Once the tubing has been routed, decide on how and where you wish to fit the dispenser assembly. There are two basic approaches to the single sided dispenser. Either have the tubing mounted to the swinging arm and dispense from the swinging arm. This approach is shown below.

3_E_DISPENSER_wee.gif   The  picture, left shows dispenser assembly, mounted on  underside of the swinging arm, and secured in position using glue and cable ties. Superglue will not work on some bikes with aluminium alloy swinging arms - notably the Fireblades and Fazers. Epoxy glue is available from Scottoiler.

Or alternatively, use the rear wheel spindle bracket included in the kit, routing the dispenser tubing along the swinging arm, and mounting the dispenser on the spindle bracket as shown in the photograph on the left.

If  you use a paddock stand, allow clearance for this in either case.

The optimum position for the dispenser nib is between the '6 and 7 o'clock'  position on the sprocket.

Remember to have the cut face of the dispenser facing outwards.

For single sided swingarms, and dual injectors, read on!

3_K_SSSWINGARM_wee.gif   Single sided swinging arm model bikes are fitted in a slightly different way. You will require an adapter kit for this - available free of charge from Scottoiler. Please contact us to receive one. The installation is very straight forwards, as shown on the two pages on the left.

The dual injector has been brought out in response to request from our customers for a dispenser which will feed each side of the chain.

It has been designed as an add on to any existing Scottoiler kit, the basic installations shown below. Not suitable for VFR VTEC.

3_O_DI_wee.gif   The most common, and we mean this most sincerely, THE MOST COMMON installation is as shown on the left. Cable tie the mounting block to the underside of the swinging arm, and using only spacers, washers, and the dual injector body align the nibs with the sprocket.

The VFR 750/800 (not VTEC) is  shown left. You will require an additional bracket, available free of charge from Scottoiler for this. Triumph single sided swingarm models shown below left.
