The BMW Motorrad automatic chain-lubrication system is available as an optional accessory for the BMW F800 GS (2008 onwards). The BMW F800 GS kit is designed to reduce chain maintenance whilst offering increased chain life and improved performance.

The RMV (Reservoir Metering Valve) mounts to the tubular frame in its bespoke carrier and is easily accessed for filling, priming and adjusting the flow rate of the chain oiler. The single injector feeds the oil on to the face of the sprocket, where it is then centrifuged out onto the chain

The clear tubing (see picture below showing blue oil) is specially chosen to offer visibility of the oil in the line, whilst being strong and durable in the face of everything it's likely to experience when on your bike. It carries the oil to the injector, which transfers the oil to the sprocket for transmission into the chain.
