vSystem / Vacuum vs eSystem / Electronic
|
|
The vSystem is a very simple installation. You are required to fit the dispenser, take the oil from the reservoir to the chain and sprockets. To fit the vSystem you need to find the connection to the vacuum which is a little more involved than the eSystem. It’s down to your preference really – would you rather plug into the battery or the engine? |
The eSystem is much simpler by nature of its connection to the bike compared to the vSystem. You are required to fit the dispenser, take the oil from the reservoir to the chain and sprockets, but where the eSystem needs you to mount one more piece of hardware (the display) the connection to the bike is much easier. It’s down to your preference really – would you rather plug into the battery or the engine? |
Adjustability
|
Both kits offer a full range of adjustability to allow you to deal with different environmental conditions, from a changing road surface to changing weather. The vSystem requires access to the reservoir. |
Both kits offer a full range of adjustability to allow you to deal with different environmental conditions, from a changing road surface to changing weather. The eSystem can be adjusted from the display screen on the handlebars. |
Features
|
The vSystem has evolved into its current form over a number of years and still works on the same principles of chain oiling that the original Scottoiler invented by Fraser Scott in the early 1970’s did. |
The eSystem is the next generation of this and it uses novel technology to ensure that your chain and sprockets are in optimum condition. The eSystem offers a digital display, temperature reading and other features that allow the chain oiling to be adjusted for. |
Range
|
Both the vSystem and the eSystem are compatible with the additional reservoirs available (the Lube Tube and the Magnum HCR) so you can increase the range on both kits with these. |
the eSystem offers a constant flow rate (independent of temperature) and only oils when the bike is in motion. Combined with its slightly higher internal volume it can go for an extra 6 hours of riding before refills compared to the vSystem. Check out the dimensional differences between the eSystem and the vSystem. They’re only very slightly different on the outside, but it’s the internal volumes difference that allows the eSystem to go further between refills. |
