In this list, we\u2019ll take you through our recommendations just in time for Monday\u2019s bank holiday. Filled with scenic coastal routes and beautiful Scottish countryside, there is a route for everyone!!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Route 1: The South West Coastal 300<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The South West Coastal 300 is a very well known stretch of road. Along the way you have incredible beaches like <\/span><b>Sandyhills Bay, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and quaint Scottish towns with old castle ruins like<\/span><b> Kirkcudbright.\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We would recommend taking a few days to travel this route to really take it all in, but for the bank holiday why not try and tackle a small portion of it?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottoiler.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2022\/07\/castle-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-11721\" src=\"http:\/\/www.scottoiler.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2022\/07\/castle-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"464\" height=\"309\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Check out the full route <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3PthVMN\">here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Route 2: North Coast 500<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A mammoth of a route, but totally worth it. The North Coast 500 will take you to some of Scotland&#8217;s most gorgeous landmarks. Kicking off in <\/span><b>Inverness<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, the circular route brings you to <\/span><b>Orkney<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><b>Skye<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><b>Scrabster<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Finally, you can drive through the stunning area of <\/span><b>Loch Ness<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and finish up back in Inverness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottoiler.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2022\/07\/d-kah-lPnhizEQalc-unsplash-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-11722\" src=\"http:\/\/www.scottoiler.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2022\/07\/d-kah-lPnhizEQalc-unsplash-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"404\" height=\"303\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">See the complete route <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/2Lw7jfS\">here.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Route 3: Ardnamurchan Peninsula from Mallaig to Tobermory.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mallaig is an amazing seaside town in its own right and well worth visiting, however taking this route will take you out of Mallaig and across the <\/span><b>Ardnamurchan Peninsula<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.
