Scottoiler is delighted to announce that they are now certified Carbon Neutral<\/strong>,<\/b> with measures taken in the past year by the team to aid the increasingly-important drive to protect our planet. Building on our ISO14001<\/a> accreditation at the start of the year<\/a>, we’re always looking for ways to keep our planet ticking over!<\/p>\n

We have collectively managed to offset 6.35 tonnes of emissions, building on an incredible effort from last year. This was achieved first by extensive audit of Scottoiler’s beloved HQ, with old and emission-heavy oil heaters ripped out in a drastic measure to slash our energy use and become carbon neutral. Furthermore, all the lighting in the building has been replaced by energy-saving LED lighting, as well as a new boiler system installed to ensure heating is only used sparingly and responsibly when needed.<\/p>\n

As a result of this, we have partnered with Carbon Footprint<\/a> to use our offset tonnes to fund social and ecological projects in the Americas. With supporting deforestation, development of a hydropower plant and funding wind power all projects Scottoiler will fund as a result, we consider this a great success with contributing to helping our planet across the line to a greener future.<\/p>\n
