How Does it Work?
Lubricating the chain (at the rate which you can set), Scottoil is blended with less tack additives than other traditional lubricants. This is in order to ensure that grit, molasses and other harmful pick-ups from the harsh roads don’t damage and wear out your chain. In order to cater for our global customer base, we’ve introduced Scottoil High Temperature Red Oil. This is, as the name suggest, for countries with warmer climates, ensuring that your ride can be properly lubricated with no worry of over-use!
Scottoiler Standard Blue is suitable for daily average temperatures from 0-30°C (32°F-86°F).
Scottoiler High-Temperature is suitable for daily average temperatures from 20-40°C (68°F-104°F).
But Surely I Can’t Mix Them?
Since they’re composed of the same chemical make up, it IS in fact possible to blend the two, either due to changeover of oils or just for finding a lubricant that works best for you and your chain! So don’t listen to urban myths, hearsay and dodgy testimonials – it’s all good to mix.
